In an interview with the AFP news agency, Bukhari remarked, "Imran Khan has expressed his desire to submit his application, and the process of application review will now commence." He further noted, "While it is a ceremonial position, it carries significant prestige and importance. Given Imran Khan's prominence as one of the notable figures emerging from Oxford, it would be remarkable to see him assume the role of chancellor." Bukhari concluded by stating, "Should he be appointed chancellor, he would be the first individual of Asian descent to hold this position. This achievement would not only be significant for Pakistan but would also represent a notable milestone for all of Asia and the global community."
